A Mixpanel alternative with predictable pricing, in rupees

Why usage-based analytics bills are hard to budget, and how a Mixpanel alternative with events included in every plan, billed in INR works for Indian startups and product teams.

A Mixpanel alternative with predictable pricing, in rupees

Most product analytics tools charge by usage: the more events you send, or the more users you track, the more you pay. It sounds fair, and when traffic is flat it is. But for a growing product it creates an awkward problem: your analytics bill rises exactly when you're busiest, and you can't know next quarter's number in advance.

For teams in India there's a second problem: the bill is usually in US dollars. That means currency swings, international card limits and forex markup on every renewal.

ClickLens was built to fix both.

Usage-based pricing vs a plan with events included, as traffic grows M1M2M3M4M5M6M7M8M9M10M11M12 Usage-based bill Plan with events included (one step up at month 9) Monthly analytics cost as events grow 24% a month
Illustrative: with steady growth, a usage-based bill climbs every month; on a plan, most events are covered by the plan price, and you move up a plan when that's cheaper than paying for extra events.

How ClickLens's pricing works

ClickLens plans include a set number of events each month, at a set price in rupees:

Plan Price per month Events included
Free ₹0 1,000,000
Starter ₹29,999 10,000,000
Growth ₹69,999 30,000,000
Scale ₹99,999 40,000,000

Every payment comes with an invoice you can print or save as a PDF. You can pay by UPI Autopay, card or netbanking.

If you go over your plan in a month, ClickLens doesn't stop collecting your data. Extra events cost ₹3 to ₹5 per 1,000, depending on the plan, and are added to your renewal. You can see the running count in the app at any time, and if you're over every month, the next plan up is usually cheaper. Most of your events are covered by the plan price you budgeted for, and a busy month adds a little, not a multiple.

What you get

ClickLens covers the reports most teams use Mixpanel for:

  • Insights: trends of any event, unique users or totals, broken down by source, city, plan or any property.
  • Funnels: where people drop off between steps, overall or by segment.
  • Retention: whether people come back a day, a week or a month later.
  • Flows: what people do before and after a key event.
  • Users: a profile for each person, with every device and login linked, so your numbers count people, not browsers.
  • Boards: dashboards your team opens every morning, with view-only links for people outside the company.
  • Experiments: send $experiment and $variant with your events and every variant is compared side by side.
  • Ask ClickLens: ask a question in plain English and get the chart.

There's no per-seat price: invite the whole company, with roles for admins, analysts and viewers.

Is it a fit for you?

ClickLens is a good fit if:

  • You want Mixpanel-style product analytics without the usage anxiety.
  • You'd rather pay in rupees, with a proper invoice.
  • Your team is non-technical in places and needs clear reports rather than SQL.

It's not the right fit (yet) if you need session replay, A/B testing or warehouse sync built into the analytics tool.

Switching is quick

Install the SDK, add two lines, and your first events appear within seconds:

import { spectra } from "spectra-analytics";

spectra.init("YOUR_PROJECT_TOKEN");
spectra.track("Signed up", { plan: "pro" });

Already on Mixpanel? ClickLens accepts events in Mixpanel's format, so you can switch without rewriting your tracking. See how to switch from Mixpanel.

Start free, with 1 million events a month and no card needed, and move to a paid plan when you're ready.
